Pharmacy Admissions Coordinator

Position Summary: The University seeks an innovative and collaborative individual for the

Pharmacy Admissions Coordinator position. The position coordinates a systematic approach to

managing the admissions process through PharmCAS, communicating with prospective and newly

admitted students, and increasing the awareness of the Doctor of Pharmacy program through

collaboration with University offices. The Pharmacy Admissions Coordinator is a full-time, exempt

position based out of the Wingate, NC campus.


● Serve as the primary point of contact to all admissions inquiries and interest in the Doctor of

Pharmacy program

● Provide specialized and on-going advising and counseling to prospective students aspiring to

meet application standard requirements for admission consideration

● Actively respond to prospective student inquiries in a timely, professional and courteous


● Maintain relationships with students accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy program through


● Review, manage and process all application materials utilizing the PharmCAS application


● Organize all aspects of the applicant interview sessions

● Communicate admissions decisions to applicants of the Doctor of Pharmacy program

● Work closely with the University’s Undergraduate Admissions Department to assist

prospective students interested in pursuing the Doctor of Pharmacy program

● Communicate information about accepted students to University offices for timely onboarding

● Collaborate with other health sciences programs to promote careers in the health sciences

● Support and collaborate with the Office of Graduate Admissions, the Office of Student

Services to plan and execute recruitment and retention events and initiatives.

● Possess an appreciation for diverse, first-generation, non-traditional, and socio-economically

challenged students and a willingness to work individually and in groups to support success in

application and matriculation into the program.

● Serve on School of Pharmacy and University committees.

Required Skills/Abilities: • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, customer service/communication skills (written

and oral) and time management skills with attention to detail

• Display initiative and a desire for professional learning and growth

• Display excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task while

remaining calm under pressure

• Weekend and evening hours may be required for recruitment and/or engagement events

• Knowledge and experience with MS Office and Google Workspace applications

Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required.

• Background in education or psychology preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Able to alternate between sitting and standing.

• Keyboarding skills, minimum 50 wpm

• Good hearing

• Near visual acuity

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks

• Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand

• Understand the speech of another person
