Job Description Summary:
To lead and oversee assigned ACCelerator staff, front desk and administrative operations including the oversight of facilities, designated support services, room scheduling, and collaboration with members of the community, as needed.

Job Description:

Location: Round Rock Campus
Note: Supports ACCelerators in the North Region

(40 hour work week) Evenings and weekends

Tuesday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
(May need to close depending on operational schedule & staffing)
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervision and Leadership (40%)
  • Supervise the daily operations of the ACCelerator ensuring that all operational functions, strategies, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates assigned ACCelerator staff to ensure that employees maintain their work schedules, complete assignments, tasks and trainings to meet goals and expectations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, address concerns, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Foster a sense of community and teamwork among ACCelerator staff.

Program Support Management (20%)
  • Assist the Regional Director with overseeing the optimal use of physical spaces i.e. pods, study rooms, class rooms, and opens study spaces.
  • Coordinates and supports ACCelerator program events by providing event coordination, team communication, and event follow-up
  • Liaise with other ACCelerator Strategic Initiatives team members, other ACC departments and/or external partners to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation
  • Provides tours and information concerning the ACCelerator about promote the ACCelerator to students, staff, faculty and stakeholders

Student Support and Customer Service (20%)
  • Provides and maintains a student/customer-centric approach, ensuring energic, engaging and exceptional service is delivery to all ACCelerator patrons
  • Provide direct support and assistance to students, staff, faculty and other ACCelerator patrons to ensure their needs are meet in the ACCelerator.
  • Answers inquiries and resolves ACCelerator patrons' issues, complaints, problems and escalate higher-level issues to Regional Director.
  • Implement and maintain service standards to enhance the overall experience.

Facility Operations (10%)
  • Monitor, evaluate and assist the Regional Director with workflow development to identify areas for improvement with the systems, procedures, processes, and policies to implement solutions to achieve goals.
  • Coordinate maintenance and cleaning schedules. Regularly inspect and maintain all equipment i.e. computers, AV technology, furniture and others.
  • Maintains, monitors and replenishes inventory of equipment, supplies, displays, and demonstrations. Reports material needs to Administrative unit.

Administrative Tasks (10%)
  • Assists Regional Director with reviewing and scheduling ACCelerator rooms, pods and spaces for internal and external partners' classes, events, tours, programs in conjunction with other campus schedulers.
  • Coordinates data for reporting and planning purposes such as utilization reports, guest satisfaction, equipment condition, and staffing coverage needs.
  • Interprets and applies college policies and procedures related to departmental functions and service delivery.
  • Serves as a back-up to Regional Director and participate in leadership meetings supporting the ACCelerator and College.

Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
  • Knowledge of ACCelerator mission, programs, and operational procedures.
  • Multicultural education programs and systems.
  • Student database systems.
  • Supervisory principles, practices, and methods.

Required Work Experience
  • Two years related work experience including one year supervisory experience.
  • Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.

Preferred Work Experience

Work experience in a college setting and/or working in the following settings is preferred:
  • Work experience in facility operations management, (i.e. Residence Hall).
  • Work experience in hospitality management, (i.e. Hotel Management).
  • Work experience in customer service-focused operations, (i.e. Big-Box Retail).

  • Spanish-speaking bilingual preferred.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is routinely performed in office environments and educational facilities.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

  • Supervise safe operation of unit. Facilitate safety inspections. Take reasonable and prudent actions to eliminate identified hazards. Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and foster a workplace safety culture.

Salary Range: $55,665 - $69,582
