Position Summary: The Program Support Specialist is a position split between the School of

Pharmacy (0.5 FTE) and the Department of Physician Assistant Studies (0.5 FTE) that provides

administrative support for both programs. The Specialist is responsible for working with administrators

and faculty to carry out program operations and programming.


● Regular, predictable attendance on campus

● Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap

● Manage program operations through University technology systems including, but not limited

to: academic record keeping, student scheduling and registration, financial processes,

tracking inventory and ordering supplies, space reservations, data management, and creating

various reports from those systems as requested.

● Facilitate processes and communication with University internal and external stakeholders

including, but not limited to, faculty/staff/student onboarding and connection to University

services and/or clinical sites, representing the programs and the University in a collaborative


● Serve as point of contact for students, faculty, and preceptors in all matters pertaining to

experiential education, help with questions regarding policies and procedures, and resolving

scheduling conflicts.

● Other job duties/responsibilities that may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of standard office procedures and practices related to record keeping.

• Knowledge and skills associated with standard office software (e.g., Google

Workspace/Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel). Advanced spreadsheet

knowledge is preferred.

• Working knowledge of Concur budgeting tool.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including effective conflict


• Ability to conduct work activities while adhering to principles of confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize work.

• Strong organizational planning skills

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years’ office/administrative experience

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Able to alternate between sitting and standing.

• Keyboarding skills, minimum 50 wpm

• Good hearing

• Near visual acuity

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks

• Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand

• Understand the speech of another person
