QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements : An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field; FAA License and/or Certification.

Experience Requirements : Two years of industry experience in aviation or aviation instruction.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule Information : Part-time teaching position – daytime, evening, weekend, or online.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Aviation Instructor will develop and plan classroom-based introductory and certification classes that cover topics such as airframes, aircraft systems (electrical and induction), flight instruments, the theory of flight, aerodynamics, radio communication, aviation meteorology, navigation, aviation safety, aviation management, and/or aircraft maintenance basics.

Continuing Professional Education courses are short-term training and are completed within one semester.
