The Director of Case Management & Outreach and Education serves as an advocate and case manager for all students, assisting in the resolution of student issues and concerns and addressing the needs of students having problems in areas such as academics, mental or emotional health, psychological, economic, conduct, family, relationships and social adjustments through a variety of interventions, referrals and follow up services.

The Director of Case Management & Outreach and Education is a critical member of the Health and Wellness staff and provides comprehensive case management for all students as well as those referred to the CARE Team. The Director of Case Management & Outreach and Education maintains relationships with local providers while overseeing electronic and internal referral resources. This individual will also provide leadership in outreach and educational programming opportunities to the students and the campus community.


  • Provides a supportive first point of encounter for the CARE Team.
  • Assist students with psycho-social needs, including but not limited to referral to campus or community resources such as mental health care, hospitalizations, and/or other specialty care (substance abuse treatment, in patient care for eating disorders, partial hospitalization, etc.)
  • Manages support and administrative functions for CARE Team, including use of Maxient© electronic records system.
  • Follow up and document to ensure that students are appropriately assessed; successfully referred; and monitored for compliance with treatment recommendations.
  • Meets with CARE Team weekly to discuss students of concern
  • Provides trainings to faculty and staff on the CARE Team and how to deal with students in distress.
  • Provides oversight and support to Sr. Director on the establishment and operation of a Wellness Ambassador Program.
  • Provides alcohol and other educational outreach to students referred from the conduct process.
  • Provides consultation to students, faculty, staff, administration, parents and community members.
  • Provide a safe environment for students to discuss their concerns.
  • Additional duties include documenting e-mail outreach attempts, compiling any pertinent information regarding the CARE reports, and completing CARE assessment forms in a confidential manner.
  • Serve in a leadership role on campus providing outreach and educational programs to students, faculty and staff, including but not limited to psycho-education, passive campaigns, and topical outreach as needed under the direction and support of the Senior Director of Health and Wellness.
  • Manage collaborations with other offices, student groups, and external organizations to seamlessly bring high quality, wellness programming and activities to campus alongside a team of committed staff and students.
  • Provides wellness coaching to students to address non-clinical concerns thereby assisting them in navigating their college experience.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Vector Solutions on line training for students with regard to AlcoholEdu and Prescription drug abuse prevention student training modules.
  • Oversee the social media for the Health & Wellness Department (CARE, Counseling & Health Services).
  • Manage the Health & Wellness website to ensure it includes the most up to date information and resources.
  • Serve as a certified Mental health First Aid Trainer to provide mental health awareness and intervention training to faculty, staff and students.


  • Master’s degree in the field of higher education administration, counseling or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years working in higher education setting preferred.
  • Experience in working with outreach and education platforms such as Canva and Instagram, etc. Experience in working with electronic records such as Maxient ©.
