Wake Forest University (“the University”) has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Board Secretary and Director of the Board Office.

Overview: The Board Secretary role is a new position reporting directly to the President of the University. This role will work with a complex and sophisticated Board of 48 individuals. The Board Secretary will manage University Board affairs including agendas, meetings, and effective coordination of the Board’s work to ensure best governance practices. They will work with the President, Board Chair, Trustees, and others and will manage the Office of the Secretary of the Board in fulfilling duties and responsibilities.

Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in higher education administration and/or corporate governance. Terminal Degree preferred (J.D., Ph.D., Ed.D.).

Location/Relocation: Winston-Salem, NC. (This is an in-office role; remote candidates will not be considered.)
