Xavier University is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper I position to maintain a safe and beautiful campus according to Xavier's standards.

Responsibilities:

Apply chemicals, top soil, grades surfaces, prepares seed beds, plants bulbs, weeds flower beds, trim and remove shrubs and trees.

Operates hand and power tools to cut, trim, edge grass and turf.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all established safety procedures.

Lifts or moves heavy equipment or material unassisted up to 125 pounds.

Picks up litter, remove trash and recycling.

Remove snow and apply ice melt.

Keeps records of work performed and time and material used.

Qualifications:

Possession of a valid driver’s license and driving record deemed insurable under Xavier's Vehicle Use & Driver Policy

Proficient in operating hand and power tools.

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
