The Opportunity:

The Office of the Provost at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking to fill the position of Director of Prestigious Awards and Fellowships. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the Director of Prestigious Awards and Fellowships is the University’s representative for all awards and fellowships at the Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide campuses.

The Director will be responsible for raising awareness of prestigious awards and fellowships among students and faculty and will work closely with students throughout the application/submission process. Once the Director starts with ERAU, they will play a role hiring team member(s) to support the growth and development of our prestigious awards.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Serving the Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide campuses.
  • Liaising with faculty and leadership on all campuses to identify talent and match student experience with awards.
  • Providing leadership in prestigious awards and increasing applications and awards to students.
  • Building connections with a national network of professionals within the prestigious awards area and making ERAU a model for success.
  • Working with students from each ERAU campus across all disciplines.
  • Using pedagogical approaches to help students write research proposals and personal statements.
  • Managing relationships with faculty, staff, and students across each campus.
  • Developing new ideas and approaches that attract students and advance the mission of the Office of Prestigious Awards and Fellowships.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience gained in prestigious awards and fellowships at another educational institution.
