Position Summary
The Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia is seeking an outstanding candidate to build on the research strengths in the Department, which include strong, active research programs in chemical biology, pharmacology and pharmaceutics, cancer biology and infectious diseases. We hold a particular interest in pharmaceutical/biomedical research that integrates cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI), encompassing areas such as drug discovery and beyond. The position is a full-time, 9-month tenure track position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
The primary duties of the faculty member will build be to build and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program focused in any area of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences including drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and pharmacokinetics.
The faculty member will be located in Athens, Georgia, home of the University of Georgia.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a pharmaceutical- or biomedical-based science.
Additional Requirements
At least two years of postdoctoral training and a strong publication record. A commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels within the College of Pharmacy is required.
To be eligible for tenure upon appointment, candidates must be appointed as an associate or full professor, have been tenured at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrably national reputation to the institution. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.
Candidates at the Associate Professor level will have demonstrated effective teaching, maintained an independent scholarly program or unique expertise support by competitive extramural funding, and contributed to service duties at the Department, College, University and/or professional level. Candidates at the Associate/Full Professor level should also demonstrate a strong history of extramural funding.
