This is a full-time, nine-month, faculty position responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the chair.

For this position, the primary area of teaching is business communication. Candidate will be expected to teach multiple sections per semester of a writing-focused business communication course. Candidate may be asked to produce a writing sample during the interview process.

The ideal candidate must be qualified to teach business communication (written and oral) and general business classes in ethics or introduction to business. The ideal candidate will also have:
  • ability to teach on-campus, in-person, and online;
  • ability to engage in research/scholarly/professional activities;
  • ability and desire to teach writing-intensive classes,;
  • ability and desire to perform other service/academic duties as assigned; and
  • professional business experience.

Preference will be given to a candidate who is also able to teach in one or more of the following areas: corporate training and employee development, leadership development,business technology, and data analytics and/or data representation.

The Rusche College of Business is AACSB-accredited and candidate will be required to meet faculty sufficiency requirements and to engage in research/scholarly/professional activities sufficient to maintain faculty sufficiency as defined by the College of Business Faculty Sufficiency Policy and its accrediting body (AACSB).
