Job Description:

The Coordinator, Assessment provides district-wide support and coordination for academic program and non-academic administrative unit assessment of expected outcomes as part of the college institutional effectiveness process. This position provides support and coordination for college articulation agreements; assists faculty and staff with annual assessment activities, including input of intended outcomes, results, improvements, and evidence of improvements based on results into the College’s assessment system; monitors deadlines for timely submission of assessment information; and provides appropriate updates to college administration regarding the actions and status of annual assessment reports and use of results for improvements. Reports to the Dean, Baccalaureate Studies and Academic Support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Creates and maintains assessment templates in Xitracs and updates templates annually.
  • Provides training as needed for faculty and staff for use of the Xitracs assessment software.
  • Works with academic program coordinators and faculty to assist with development and implementation of learning outcomes assessment for credit and non-credit academic programs.
  • Works with non-academic administrative personnel to develop, assess, and monitor improvements with regard to expected outcome goals and objectives.
  • Provides reports to the college administration on actions and status of annual assessments of expected outcomes and use of results for improvement.
  • Works with appropriate College staff to create assessment reports as needed.
  • Has working knowledge of the LMS system for the College (CANVAS).
  • Serves as ex officio for the General Education Committee, GLO Assessment Committee, and PSLO Assessment Committee.
  • Responsible for knowing and understanding all accreditation requirements and standards that apply to the assessment of expected outcomes and institutional effectiveness.
  • Assists with all facets of assessment reporting as part of the College’s institutional effectiveness process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree. Three years of experience working with assessment and curriculum. Successful results of a background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

SALARY RANGE: $36,950.00 - $42,000.00
