Assistant Chaplain - Residence Hall and Small Faith Communities
(part-time, 20hours/12mos, live-in position)

Position Summary - The assistant chaplain will be responsible for developing residential based ministry and coordinating small faith communities. This is a live-in position. Reports to associate director.

Major Responsibilities -
  • Work with residential life staff to offer programs in the first and second year residence halls and Ciampi that introduce students to Ignatian discernment and a faith that does justice.
  • Work with chaplains to develop spiritual wellness programs that are based in Ciampi Hall Student Wellness housing.
  • Coordinate the small faith communities program, Soul Squads, sponsored by the chaplains’ office.
  • Assist with Communitas weekend retreat once each semester.
  • Participate in weekly chaplain staff meetings and other chaplain sponsored events and programs as time permits.
  • Work collaboratively with professional staff in residence life.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in theology or pastoral ministry
  • Experience working with young adults
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Experience with and understanding of Ignatian spirituality.

Additional Information:

This is a part time, exempt level position. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The annual salary for this part-time, live in opportunity is $20,000 coupled with housing in a 3 bedroom apartment on campus.
