Northwestern College invites applications for a full-time assistant professor (tenure track) in psychology to begin August 2024. The successful candidate can expect to teach child, adolescent and adult development. The ability to teach cross-cultural psychology or motivation would also be desirable. The teaching load for this position is 24 credit hours per academic year, normally 3 courses per semester, along with expectations for scholarship and service.   

Required Qualifications: Candidates should hold a doctorate in psychology or other closely related field. Freshly minted PhDs are encouraged to apply. ABDs will be considered too. Candidates should exhibit a love of Christ as well as an embrace of the Gospel.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to persons committed to excellence in liberal arts education and the involvement of students in research. The department seeks an applicant who can join us in laughter, in serving one another, and in helping our students to flourish.
