Part Time Nurse

The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, invites applications for the Nurse Temp in the Infirmary Department. The Citadel is accepting applications for Part-Time Registered Nurses to work nights. Under limited supervision, the nurse will provide care to all patients who report to the Infirmary. Patients are evaluated and safe and effective care is initiated, using the Principles and Practices of the Nursing Process

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A license as a registered nurse by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing is required.
• Must have at least three years of experience. Suggested experience in Clinical Nursing, especially Student Health Nursing or Emergency Room Nursing.
• Must have the ability to make independent decisions regarding nursing care and to follow standard treatment procedures as directed by the physician.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

This is an hourly position and is thus not eligible for benefits at the time of hire. Shifts run in 12 hour intervals. Employee may be called to work at the last minute, thus, living within 30 minutes of The Citadel is preferred.
