The candidate will be is responsible for designing, synthesizing, and optimizing molecules targeting GPCRs (cannabinoid receptors; allosteric and orthosteric) and ion channels (a4b2 nAChR, a7nAChR, GIRK1/2, GIRK1/4etc.). Key initial responsibilities will include data analysis, SAR hypothesis generation, empirical and structure-based target design, and synthetic chemistry and troubleshooting.

Our main focuses are to improve the potency/efficacy and physicochemical as well as pharmacokinetics properties of the hit molecules through chemical modification.
