The Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) seeks exceptional internists to provide patient-centered care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in the outpatient setting at the UW Health Clinic. Principal Duties:

For appointments hired as Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor:
Provide patient care at UW Health approved location(s); provide clinical teaching to medical students and/or residents and fellows.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD or DO required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Candidates for appointment as Clinical Associate Professor rank will demonstrate academic credentials for the title per established SMPH guidelines.

License or Certificate:

American Board of Internal Medicine Board Eligible/Board Certified . The expectation is to be Board Certified within the first two years of employment.

Eligible for Wisconsin medical licensure

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.

This vacancy is being announced simultaneously with PVL 238272; please note that two vacancies exists. Having multiple job postings allows DOM to consider candidates with both tenure-track faculty credentials and non-tenure-track faculty credentials for this position.
