Position Overview

The Department of Biology within the School of Arts and Sciences at Merrimack College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Biology for the Spring 2024 semester. Instructors are needed for these lecture and lab-based undergraduate courses:
  • Intro to Biological Sciences lecture, an introduction to biological principles of cell and molecular biology. The course meets Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00-7:20 PM.
  • Intro to Biological Sciences lab, two sections:
    • Monday 6:00-8:50 PM
    • Wednesday, 6:00-8:50 PM
The spring semester begins on Wednesday, January 17th. All classes will be taught in person in the classroom and/or lab.

Qualifications:
  • M.S., or Doctorate in Biology or related discipline, with college-level teaching experience.
  • Strong preference for candidates who also have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This is an on-campus position as employees are essential in order to provide a fully on-campus, residential college experience for our students and the community.
