The Associate Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs reports to the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs and supervises an Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. This role will play a critical role in overseeing the development, support, and engagement of fraternities and sororities within the higher education institution. This position is responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive Greek life community that aligns with the university's mission and values.

This position requires the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, embrace teamwork and collaboration, and have the desire to be highly engaged with students and stakeholders.

The position is a full-time, twelve-month position, with some evening and weekend hours expected.

Job Duties:

Risk Management and Advising:

Advises a fraternity or sorority governing council and a portfolio of chapters.
Advises and oversees council recruitment and/or intake activities in accordance with University and inter/national organization policies and standards.
Educates chapters and chapter leadership on University and National policies regarding risk management expectations
Assists chapters in identifying risks associated with events and developing risk mitigation strategies.
Advises the Order of Omega.
Responds to critical incidents or crises in the Greek community.
Maintains confidentiality of student and organizational records.


Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs for Wellness and Student Development.

Program Leadership and Development:

Assists the director in oversight of the administration of the office and its programs and initiatives. Leads the department in the absence of the Director.
Initiates and actively collaborates with colleagues, campus partners and national headquarters to design, develop and deliver programs and resources that promote leadership, scholarship, service and organizational development.
Assists in new chapter development efforts following the University's strategic responsible growth policy.
Creates and facilitates the new member education program and ongoing membership development.
Develops and leads the annual chapter accreditation and awards process.
Designs, develops and delivers large scale events.
Represents the department on University committees and actively participates in professional development activities on and off campus.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Financial Management:

Assists in the department budget development process.
Responsible for the Order of Omega budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Master's degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, education or related field.
- Three years experience working directly with fraternity and sorority affairs. Graduate assistantships or national headquarters experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of and a working understanding of current best practices in fraternity and sorority affairs, health and safety practices and the structure of NIC, NPHC, MGC and NPC organizations.
- Strong commitment to student development and supporting a residential community
- Ability to work collaboratively across cultures and styles at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - oral and written.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships while building consensus and cultivating additional support.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Direct Experience working for or with Fraternity and Sorority National Headquarters.
- Experience leading, managing and supervising professionals.
- Experience with Campus Director and Campus Labs/Anthology.

Work Type:

This a full-time, 12 month, staff exempt, benefits-eligible position based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.

Salary Range:

This is a staff exempt position with a hiring range of $54,080-67,600 (E08). The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
