Essential Job Functions
The Preschool Teacher manages the day-to-day operation of the clinic’s Preschool Language Classroom (PLC) under the supervision of the PLC Director.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures physical safety and emotional welfare of children in the Preschool Language Classroom (PLC).
  • Plans and implements curriculum and developmentally appropriate instruction for children 2 to 5 years of age and modifies the curriculum for children with special developmental needs.
  • Assesses individual children’s progress toward targeted social, behavioral, and communication goals and maintains records of progress in the clinic’s electronic medical record system.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with clinical educators, student clinicians, and other members of educational/clinical teams.
  • Provides instructional support to student clinicians and parents/families of children in the PLC.
  • Provides oral and written feedback to parents/families regarding child development and daily child interactions.
  • Monitor and order supplies.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
  • The Preschool Teacher must have the ability to work effectively with children aged 2-5 years old, including children with neurodiverse abilities and children who are receiving therapy for communication disorders.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of child development and be able to communicate effectively in oral and written form.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working with preschool children in a group and/or therapeutic setting.
  • Experience developing and implementing a preschool instructional curriculum that facilitates social, behavioral and communication development.

Work Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Anticipated Hiring Range: 31,200-$31,706
