Job Description:

The Office of Human Resources and Organizational Excellence (HROE) at Clark University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Leader to join our dynamic team.  The Senior Talent Acquisition Leader, is responsible for determining staffing needs, developing hiring strategies, leading employment branding initiatives, sourcing candidates, conducting recruitment activities, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.  This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our institution by strategically identifying, attracting, and acquiring top-tier talent. Strategic Talent Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand organizational goals and align talent acquisition strategies with the overall mission and vision of the institution.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition plan that addresses current and future staffing needs.

Recruitment Process Management:

  • Oversee and optimize the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience and timely fulfillment of staffing requirements.
  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates for faculty, staff and administrative positions. 
  • Partner closely with key leaders, DEI resources and hiring managers to ensure achievement of DEI business objectives across all teams.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster strong partnerships with academic departments, administrative units, and other key stakeholders to understand their unique staffing needs and challenges.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on best practices in talent acquisition and workforce planning.

Functional Leadership & Development:

  • Lead the talent acquisition process flow, design and implement a robust onboarding experience and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Implement performance metrics and regularly assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, making data-driven improvements for support staff within Human Resources.

Employer Branding and Outreach:

  • Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to enhance the institution's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Represent the institution at industry conferences, networking events, and career fairs to build relationships with potential candidates.

Tactical Team Support

  • Prepares letters of appointments for non-faculty positions
  • Compile and email employment activity notifications to HR/PR/Budget team members and maintain weekly employment activity report for campus partners
  • Plans, directs and supervises all activities relating to administration and maintenance of HR records data, including supervision of HR Records Administrator.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, preferably with a focus on higher education recruitment, however not required.
  • Demonstrated success in leading recruitment efforts for faculty, staff, and leadership positions.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in talent acquisition, including diversity and inclusion strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and other HR technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex and dynamic environment.
