Responsible for managing patient, retail, and catering service
operations. Assists the Food and Nutrition Services Director in
giving direction, training, motivation and guidance to Food and
Nutrition Services workers to accomplish established standards to
meet or exceed customer satisfaction. Because this individual
manages highly visible areas, this position represents UTMC in its
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Food
Service Management or Hospitality preferred, or equivalent
education or experience in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years food service management at a managerial or
supervisory level required, with a preference for experience in
Healthcare and/or Retail operations.
• Must have a working knowledge of computers, food service
equipment, sanitation and products.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity
and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for
extensive periods of time. May require lifting up to 50 pounds or
Communication and other skills:
• Must be able to demonstrate customer service skills.
• Ability to develop people in a challenging food service
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
