Job Description:
Fullerton College is accepting applications for part-time Instructors for Spring 2024 and ongoing.

Courses: Teach ANAT 231 Human Anatomy and ANAT 240 Human Physiology

Schedule: Instructor may be asked to teach a night class that begins after 5:00 PM and ends after 10:00 PM.

Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in any biological science
OR
Bachelor’s in any biological science

AND Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science

OR

Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.

OR

The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Commitment to diversity. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.

Desirable Qualifications:
Extensive experience teaching in-person laboratories.

Knowledge and experience in the use of spirometers, EKG, sphygmomanometers, and the physiology software program IWorks.

Knowledge of anatomical and histological specimens and models.

Ability to direct student dissections.

Experience with curriculum development, program self-assessment, SLO assessment, etc.

Experience using multi-modal approaches and student-centered pedagogy to meet the needs of first generation, immigrant, and low-income students.

Working Conditions:


Salary Range: $1286.03 - $1411.29 per lecture unit rate, $1028.85 - $1128.97 per lab unit rate
