Unit 7 - CSUEU - Clerical and Administrative
Support Services, Administrative, Temporary, Full Time, Part Time
Under direct supervision, Administrative Support Assistants I's
provide clerical support to administrative units and/or Academic
Departments. Incumbents may perform reception duties, including
filing of documents, answering telephones, typing forms, letters
and memos, and performing other clerical duties as assigned.
Typical duties include the following:
- Incumbents will set own priorities regularly and manage
multiple work priorities. Incumbents may help set priorities for
others but are primarily accountable for own work results.
- Incumbents will plan and coordinate clerical work activities
and provide lead work direction and/or training and assistance to
others in work processes and procedures.
- Incumbents may perform assignments that are varied involving
the regular use of judgment and discretion.
- Incumbents may take courses of action, which are guided by some
interpretation of policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and
High School diploma or its equivalent AND one year of experience in
general office clerical work or one year of training in a

Compensation: The salary range for this classification is $3,338.00
to $ 4,097.00/month.
The hourly range for this classification is $19.26 to $23.64.

Work status: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Hourly, On-Call,
Intermittent "Non-exempt" positions.

Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal

information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background
check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee
who was conditionally offered the position.
Driver's License Check
Possession of a valid Driver's License may be required for some
positions. Employees in this position will be enrolled in the
Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Government Employer Pull Notice
Program which confirms possession of a valid driver's license and
reflects driving record.
The person holding this position is considered a `mandated
reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting
Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in
CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
