The basics of this position:

The Grants Administrator leads post award efforts to ensure STLCC remains compliant with federal and state regulatory requirements, adheres to the terms and conditions of its grants, and manages grants according to best practices and appropriate guidelines. They convene regular discussions with stakeholders to ensure everyone understands requirements. They generate and circulate data reports to track grant performance. They assess expenditures against budgets and progress on the workplans and performance measures approved by grantors. They effectively communicate complex compliance issues to various audiences and provide leadership, faculty and staff advice on options and necessary actions. They identify and address any potential deficiencies. They gather, organize and maintain documentation confirming that STLCC has complied with all requirements.

What you'll do:
  • • Review grants and contracts awarded to the College and document compliance requirements.
    • Manage relationships with grantors, STLCC leadership, faculty and staff regarding grants and contracts.
    • Lead stakeholder meetings to kickoff new awards and periodically monitor performance.
    • Brief leadership on grant progress, fiscal, or compliance issues, and the general status of the grant portfolio.
    • Prepare documents for review and approval by college officers, the Chancellor, and the Board of Trustees.
    • Collaborate with Finance to budget grants in STLCC financial systems and monitor fiscal performance.
    • Develop matrices of grant deliverables and compliance requirements, lead meetings with faculty and staff to review terms and conditions of contracts and assign compliance responsibilities.
    • Track compliance with post-award requirements ensuring proper progress reporting and grant closeout.
    • Develop and maintain a process for comprehensive recording of correspondence, applications, award contracts, adjustments, and compliance and closeout documentation according to OMB regulations and best practices.
    • Furnish data and documents required for single audits and provide guidance on corrective action plans.
    • Represent STLCC ID to stakeholders, in professional associations, and at conferences and symposia.
    • Produce reports and make presentations on grant compliance topics.
    • Responsible for updating STLCC accounts and compliance status within various Federal, State, and local agencies websites, including STLCCs registration status in sam.gov.
    • Set measurable annual goals aligning duties of the position with STLCC’s strategic plans. Keeps current on emerging issues impacting grants administration.
    • Supervise interns and contractors, as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelors’ Degree and at least three years of relevant experience with responsibility for managing grant and contracts.
