Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute is searching for a
Project Leader to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity

The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University was
established in 1979 to conduct basic and applied research in
robotics technologies relevant to industrial and societal tasks.
Seeking to combine the practical and the theoretical, the Robotics
Institute has diversified its efforts and approaches to robotics
science while retaining its original goal of realizing the
potential of the robotics field. The facility includes
approximately 100,000 square feet at the main Pittsburgh campus,
another 100,000 square feet at the National Robotics Engineering
Center in Lawrenceville and growing.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for Project Management activities for moderately
complex projects including: managing Project Work statements, Work
Plans, and other customer contract documents; preparing reports
with information gathered from a variety of internal and external
sources; identifying variances and working with other departments
and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated effort.
- Assists in the daily coordination of projects.
- Communicates with internal and external clients.
- Performs administrative tasks such as arranging meetings,
developing agendas, and preparing progress reports identifying
variances to ensure coordinated efforts.
- Prepares and maintains Project Works Statements and other
customer contract documents.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in business or business administration or
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Well-developed interpersonal skill and technical skills
- Or a combination of education and relevant experience from
which comparable knowledge is demonstrated.
