Job Description Summary
Temporary Research Assistants (RAs) will help with implementation of a research project focused on interventions to improve inpatient sleep. In this study, RAs will interface with patients admitted to the Neurology Ward service. RAs will consent and enroll eligible patients, collect patient sleep data (obtained via measurement from actigraphy devices), speak with patients about their subjective sleep experience while in the hospital, and offer items designed to improve sleep duration and quality. RAs will input this quantitative and qualitative patient data into Redcap.

These are part-time positions with an expectation that the RA's will divide about 30 weekends (60 weekend days) between them. Each weekend day encompasses a 3-hour shift paid at an hourly rate.

Job Responsibilities
  • Enroll and consent patients eligible for the aforementioned sleep study
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from enrolled patients
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Hiring range minimum for this position is $25/hour.

Pay offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.

Qualifications
  • High School Grad/GE Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
