Position/Rank: Thomas More University seeks a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology beginning August 2024. Primary responsibilities are teaching 12 hours per semester in psychology. Expected courses include General Psychology, Sensation and Perception, Cognition, Statistics, and Research Methods, History of Psychology, along with the possibility of teaching a course in the candidate’s specialization area, or in Forensic Psychology. While the ability to offer online courses is valued, most courses will be in-person. Other responsibilities include advising, committee assignments, supervision of student research and/or internships, and student recruitment. Salary is commensurate with experience. The job will be on an annual renewing contract. Exceptional candidates with a significant amount of experience in areas such as teaching, service, and scholarship may be eligible to enter with a three-year renewing contract.
Qualifications: Terminal degree in Psychology preferred. Successful experience in undergraduate teaching preferred.
