Central Connecticut State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Computer Science (CS) Department beginning January 2024. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply and will be hired at the rank of Instructor. Responsibilities include teaching a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate computer science courses for majors, participating in assessment, curriculum development, and serving on departmental committees. Candidates are expected to be committed to teaching excellence, multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Computer Science or Cybersecurity


at least three (3) years of full-time service in a college or university at a rank of Instructor or above, plus a master’s degree with an additional full year of study above master’s level.

Ideal candidates will also possess:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Cybersecurity
  • Evidence of effective communication skills
  • Commitment to serving culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse communities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated teaching at a college or university with special consideration being given to Cybersecurity courses.
