Job Summary/Basic Function:

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Student Accounts, the Assistant Director delivers high quality customer services to students and families to resolve financial issues and promote student success and retention. The Assistant Director works to improve services and messaging as it pertains to student account policy and programs,and proactively manages current student, alumnae/i and inactive student accounts to maximize revenue collections while promoting and maintaining positive relationships with all constituencies. Responsible for reviewing and processing refund requests and other programmatic processes. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience required; or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

This position requires the ability to multitask and manage time and set priorities to meet deadlines. Must be knowledgeable of Fair Debt Collection practices and understand federal and state privacy laws and regulations. In addition, an understanding of financial aid regulations and how they pertain to loan eligibility is essential. Must be able to work cooperatively with partner offices on campus, be a positive team player, and adapt to change. It is important that the Assistant Director maintain positive customer service standards even when under stress.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Accounting or Management is preferred.

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.

The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is $48,000 – $50,000.
