This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Position Purpose

Research hardware and software products to resolve computer problems and identify solutions for academic and administrative business needs. Troubleshoot and resolve computer hardware, software, and network problems.
Consult with users on computer/application needs and provide user with options to satisfy requirements. Write documentation which explains solutions to technical problems and/or recommends solutions.
Install/configure hardware and software in a multi-platform environment. Install/configure network connections in a multi-protocol, multi-topology environment.

Education & Formal Training
Bachelor's degree (Specify field(s) of study below)

Other Education & Formal Training

Business, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting. Studies in both business and information services preferred.

Computer Skills
Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Web Page Maintenance, Other - report writing, database management preferred


Three years progressively more responsible technical experience, to include: programming, user contact, system coordination or analysis, networking, server maintenance, and departmental computing.
System coordination, business problem solving, business process re-engineering experience preferred.
Personal computer (PC & Macintosh, including Apple remote desktop) operating systems, network, server, Casper Suite, iOS, and Android knowledge preferred.database reporting tools experience preferred.

Incumbent is expected to maintain knowledge of career trends and innovations.
Incumbent is expected to maintain a working knowledge of PCs and Windows Operating System, Macintosh iOS, including Apple remote desktop, understanding of networking, and programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Google Apps for education, Creative Cloud and other SHASS sotfware, etc. and server maintenance. Incumbent must have a willingness to learn new software associated with use in high maintenance labs.
