The faculty of the Art program at the University of South Carolina Upstate invites applications for a full-time Instructor of Graphic Design. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment with a start date of August 16, 2024. The selected candidate will teach a course load of 4/4 with a focus on teaching beginning and intermediate graphic design coursework as well as the history of graphic design, and maintain an active research agenda or engage in university/departmental service. The Division of Fine Arts and Communication Studies offers a Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio with a specialization in Graphic Design. The chosen candidate will join a faculty that is committed to equipping students with the skills required to excel in the professional graphic design industry.

Minimum Qualifications: AnMFAterminal degree in Art, Visual Communications, or Graphic Design and at least one year of relevant professional design experience OR BA/BFAand at least three years of professional design experience by the start date of the appointment is required. A successful background check is required.
