Position Function

Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Human Resources, this position ensures compliance with compensation and classification federal and state laws, and implements strategies that are market competitive and internally equitable. Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and administration of compensation programs which support the University’s objectives of attracting and retaining top talent. Perform job evaluations, participate in salary surveys, and price jobs using internal and external market data to ensure consistency in the pay structure across the entire organization.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience

At least three years of relevant job experience.

Minimum Other

Solid understanding of state and federal laws and regulations relating to compensation. Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a detailed knowledge of compensation administration. Able to communicate optimally with internal and external customers of all levels, including executives.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in higher education or non-profit sector.

Preferred Other

Certified Compensation Professional ( CCP ) certification. SHRM -CP/ SCP & S/ PHR and other related certifications as acceptable as well.

Consult and offer guidance on compensation policy interpretation, internal equity reviews, market analysis, job evaluation, and other compensation projects and initiatives. Provide professional guidance, coordination, and support in the effective and consistent application of job classification and compensation administration policies and practices. Provide compensation consultation to Human Resources Partners on a day-to-day basis related to compensation and classification, and internal and external market pay competitiveness.
