Position Summary:

The Coordinator - STRIVE Online Grant provides advanced programmatic support for the StriveOnline Title V grant. Oversees the development, implementation, and coordination of all online student support services for the grant. Provides support to departmental leadership by facilitating daily operations. This position reports to the StriveOnline Title V Grant Manager and will supervise the grant-funded Online Success Coaches and Peer Mentors.

The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends.

Continued employment in the position is contingent upon continued funding through designated external sources. This grant is set to expire on 9/30/2028.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates, develops, and implements the Virtual Success Center, College Success Coaching, Peer Mentoring, and Virtual Communities programs along with other project initiatives related to online student engagement for the Title V Grant
  • Prioritizes and assigns staff workload; ensures staff members are trained; meets weekly with staff to assess progress; conducts performance evaluations
  • Records and tracks all expenditures; submits to Title V Grant Manager for approval
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and coordination of grant initiatives - program guidelines, goals, objectives, and activities; analyzes and reviews grant program statistics, budget, and needs; develops plans for program improvement
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes data; prepares and reviews related reports and correspondence; submits monthly reports to the StriveOnline Title V Grant Manager
  • Collaborates with external evaluators to develop/administer project evaluations; works closely with internal departments to implement programming
  • Maintains working relationships with online faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study and
  • One to three years of related experience
or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in closely related field of study
  • One to three years of supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of student services and/or student success practices for online learners
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and practices
  • Knowledge of internal and external customer service principles and practices
  • Skill in coordinating and monitoring the work of others
  • Skill in effective communication (both written and oral)
  • Skill in positive, productive, and flexible customer service
  • Skill in project management principles, processes, and techniques
  • Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills as well as draw conclusions and prepare accurate reports of results
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships
