Position Purpose

The position teaches Legal Aspects of Business Law as a part of the BSBA core, and other classes of specialty in BSBA and MBA programs in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies. Activity in research/publications, service, and professional development which aligns with AACSB standards is required. Additionally, candidates need to be knowledgeable about United States contract and employment law.

Applicants selected will be expected to engage in strong classroom teaching and research activities appropriate for a university accredited by AACSB . The position is expected to include sections of BLAW 2720 (Legal Environment of Business), BLAW 3721 (Law of Transactions), and BLAW 5700 (Legal Aspects of Business Decisions). The successful candidate is expected to assume active service roles related to undergraduate and MBA curriculum and quality assurance at department and college levels.

Candidates must have already completed a J.D. or equivalent from the American Bar Association accredited institution or a Ph.D. degree in Business Law/ Public Policy from a similarly accredited business school. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use a variety of teaching approaches, including distance education preferred.
