This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Position Purpose
Maintain campus lawns. Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, hedges, annual flower beds, and planters by pruning and trimming. Remove litter, sand, dirt, and debris from assigned area. Operate and/or utilize truck mounted plow, sidewalk plow, shovel, and/or ice scraper, chemical melter, or sand to remove snow/ice. Inspect, repair, install, and perform routine maintenance of playground equipment/areas. Operate computerized irrigation controller and repair irrigation system as needed.

1. Six months’ grounds maintenance experience.
2. Irrigation experience preferred.

Working knowledge of common horticultural/agricultural chemicals and their proper use.
Working knowledge of grounds maintenance and turf care.
Ability to read, comprehend, and apply manuals, labels, and written instructions.
Basic math and measuring skills to safely calculate and mix horticultural/agricultural chemicals and
fertilizers.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer application equipment.
