Job Description

Veterinarians throughout the Midwest refer animal clients to the Veterinary Health Center for specialized diagnoses and treatment. With sophisticated therapeutic equipment that includes an underwater treadmill, advanced imaging techniques, and groundbreaking equine lameness diagnostic equipment, we are a center for animal healthcare.

We are seeking an Executive Assistant to assist the Veterinary Health Center Hospital Director and Hospital Administrator. Our facility, located at Clydesdale Hall, provides state-of-the-art teaching and medical services, including ambulatory services. In addition to regular check-ups and preventive health care, we feature cutting edge surgical and intensive lifesaving medical care.

Standard responsibilities include:
  • Manage calendar and meeting schedule for the Hospital Director and Hospital Administrator
  • Administer internal and external surveys
  • Manage email and distribute hospital-wide notices
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Act as liaison and primary contact for Hospital Director and Hospital Administrator in their absences
  • Collect and organize Hospital Advisory Board, Staff Leadership, Care Committee as well as other meeting agendas, including related materials and documents, take minutes
  • Assist with planning and organization/coordination of quarterly hospital wide meetings as well as annual hospital events and hospital tours for Veterinary Technician students
  • Compile employee recognition from client surveys
  • Serve as general IT liaison for VHC. Review and update email distribution lists and VHC website, manage Microsoft Teams groups
  • Assist new employees with on-boarding activities
  • Assist with hospital inventory and equipment requests
  • Assist with Referring Veterinarian's Guide
  • Assist as requested to coordinate/facilitate non-academic visitors

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.96-$23.00 hourly
