Position Summary:
The Annual Giving and Engagement Coordinator supports developing, executing, and leading a range of fundraising and engagement strategies for the St. Petersburg College Foundation under the supervision of the Executive Director of Advancement Services.


Requirements::
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor’s degree is preferred;

* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.

Experience:

Two years of fundraising, communication, marketing, or related experience is required Specific experience in higher education preferred.

Knowledge:

Excellent communication skills; well versed in communicating verbally, by email, in print, and online.

Proficient in planning complex production cycles and multi-tasking

Ability to maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment is required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to work with multiple types of people and personalities, including senior executives, in a productive and respectful manner is required.

Continuous strategic thinking, effectively analyzing data, and specific experience implementing data-informed decisions is preferred.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite for daily tasks and communications.

Work with design theory, graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite), relational databases, HTML, video production, and broadcast email platforms.

Physical:

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.



Responsibilities:

• Assists the Executive Director of Advancement Services with annual giving and engagement including the production and evaluation of direct mail, email, social media, giving days, web-based fundraising solicitations, and communications intended to support the fundraising efforts of St. Petersburg College and to inform alumni, friends and donors about the achievements, priorities and aspirations of the College. - • Supports the Executive Director of Advancement Services in developing fundraising strategies and developing content for large-scale philanthropic fundraising campaigns to meet the financial goals of the Foundation Office. - • Leads the development and execution of assigned targeted campaigns that have defined audiences and fundraising objectives. - • Works with the Executive Director of Advancement Services to execute strategies to educate donors and alumni about engagement opportunities, and inform them about the news of the College. Responsible for writing, editing or gathering articles, profiles, and news briefs for the College’s alumni and friends website, and assists in the site’s content maintenance. - • Works with the Executive Director of Advancement Services on strategic social media and digital initiatives. Responsible for weekly communication through applicable social media accounts and manages the production of the College’s alumni and friends e-newsletter. - • Collaborates with communications colleagues in the MARCOMM office for email and social media communications, and with Development colleagues in College-wide fundraising efforts. - • Develops relationships with key vendors (designers, printers, photographers, web developers, etc.), and—for assigned projects—negotiates contracts, manages work flow, and monitors performance. - • In collaboration with members of the data team, mines social media and email activity to learn more about alumni and donor behavior, affinity, and communications preferences. - • Collaborates with internal and external design and communications professionals on production of assigned publications, email messages, social media posts, websites, etc., that support direct fundraising campaigns. - • Supports activities such as give days, reunions, campaign kick-offs, thank-a-thons, student fundraising events, new student orientation, alumni engagement, friendraiser events, community-wide awareness programs and board meetings.
