The Gannon University Physician Assistant Program in Erie, PA has
an opening for an adjunct faculty member to teach content in our
Pharmacotherapeutics II course. The preferred candidate will be a
pharmacist and have teaching experience. The course is a once-
weekly (Wednesdays) lecture-based course from 12:00pm-4:00pm that
presents information related to pharmacology and appropriate
therapeutic choices for various medical conditions. The faculty
member's responsibilities will include classroom teaching, test
question creation, assignment grading, and having availability
outside of class time to respond to student questions. It begins on
January 8, 2024 and concludes on May 3, 2024.
Requirements include an earned terminal degree (e.g. PharmD) and
relevant clinical experience; candidates are required to have or be
eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. Additional requirements
include effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills, and the ability to be an effective team member. Candidates
must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive
Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and
professional education traditions.
