The Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Technology and Software Engineering with over 1400 students. The undergraduate Computer Science and Cybersecurity programs are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET . The undergraduate Software Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET .

Position Purpose

The Department Computer Science and Cybersecurity at the University of Central Missouri is
accepting applications for several non-tenure track positions in Computer Science and
Cybersecurity. The appointment will begin January or August 2024. We are looking for faculty
excited by the prospect of shaping our department’s future and contributing to its sustained

Duties will include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer
science, cybersecurity, data science, information technology or software engineering, and
developing new courses depending upon the expertise of the applicant and school needs,
program accreditation and assessment. Faculty are expected to assist with school and university
committee work and service activities and advising majors.

  • M.S. in Computer Science or a closely related area required
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related areas preferred.
Computer Skills
Presentation, Class Management Software

  • Demonstrated ability to teach existing courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
