Portland Community College is looking for an enthusiastic and
organized individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant,
supporting the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) and the
integration of our marketing, public relations, and media
production units. Guided by the CCO, this role will work alongside
departmental leadership to act as a strategic partner, operational

the demonstration of these qualifications.
- Experience related to functional department management areas
such as purchasing, requisition, contracts, grants, and complex
budget management, including the collection of detailed background
information and tracking for various projects.
- Demonstrated ability to implement office management and project
management practices, including scheduling, record-keeping, and
working with multiple stakeholders across departments to distill
information and navigate competing priorities.
- Experience in updating and maintaining databases, online
planning documents, information reports, etc., with great attention
- Ability and ease with arranging all logistics pertaining to
travel, conferences, webinars, etc. including pre-approval and
- Demonstrated experience and comfort with providing support for
event planning, including management of departmentally-owned
collateral and supplies.
- Evidence of adaptability and flexibility in navigating changing
- Interest in marketing, communications, and/or public relations

Starting Salary Expectations
Minimum $56,054 to range midpoint of $68,667. Placement will
generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications,
experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range
$56054 to $81281 Annual Salary
PCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide

PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement
System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into
the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After
one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a
2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and
confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program
and a deferred compensation program where employees may save
additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your
spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of
age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time
employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional business office environment on
a PCC campus, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in
work schedule. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to maintain a stationary position
for long periods of time (sitting or standing); communicate with
employees, partners, and stakeholders; and operate a computer to
develop work products, communicate, and carry out responsibilities.
Occasionally the employee is required to move about the campus to;
attend meetings, access items, and utilize equipment, and, rarely,
move or transport items up to 10 pounds.
