Job Summary

The Program Manager will support the implementation of programs associated with the New Jersey Defense Manufacturing Community Consortium which focuses on education, training and employment in advanced manufacturing for veterans, their family members, and individuals from underserved communities. The Program Manager will be responsible for recruiting program participants including developing marketing materials, presenting program information throughout the community, and representing CCM and the program at community events. In addition, the individual will consult with existing partners and use outcomes to continually improve the program. In partnership with other staff, the coordinator will provide support services including mentoring, resume writing assistance, and interview preparation for students. The Program Manager will be responsible for documentation to support expenditures and grant outcomes.

Qualifications - Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, counseling or closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications - Experience

Three years of experience in an educational setting, preferably in higher education. Experience working with veterans and their family members preferred.

Qualifications - Skills

Demonstrates understanding of community college mission and practices an open-door policy. Working knowledge of coordinating services with multiple agencies, business, and educational partners. Bilingual Spanish highly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft products (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required. Experience with or ability to learn Salesforce CRM and Ellucian student service products is required.

Work Hours

9:00 – 5:00 with some night and weekend work.

County College of Morris

Located on 222 acres of rolling terrain in Randolph, County College of Morris (CCM) has been meeting the educational and training needs of residents and businesses in Morris County for 50 years. The college first opened its doors to students in 1968 after Henderson Hall, the first building on campus, was completed. The first class consisted of 592 full-time and 703 part-time students.
