- Graduation from a four-year college or university with nine
semester hours in programming and one year of experience in
business application consulting or development.
- Experience in the field of work related to the position’s role
may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
During application development, the IT Business Systems Analyst
position is responsible for creating project timelines and
setting priorities for the Registrar’s Office. This position will
work with team members to identify the activities and tasks during
project implementation, independently adapting to changes in
priorities as needed
This position will manage a project list for the Registrar’s
Office, which involves determining the needs of departments and
users, proposing solutions and writing technical specifications to
the Banner Student IT Manager. Project implementation plans will be
developed to ensure projects are completed by deadlines. Projects
examples include modifications to Banner Self-Service registration,
automation with third party vendors used by other offices, as well
as university wide reporting needs.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the standards, theories and
practices associated with Banner Student and sql reporting. This
position will write queries in SQL and develop reports using Web
Focus Report Developer. Will also be responsible for managing
requests in the Banner Project Management System and developing
technical specifications for program applications.
During application development this position will integrate their
knowledge and skills from a broad range of specialties to ensure
projects, data flow and applications for moderate to complex
projects are meeting the needs of the project. This position should
be able to independently identify the most suitable and current
solutions to their projects.
Responsible for preventing anticpated problems and performing
diagnostics to resolve problems. Responsible for writing SQL
queries to independently identify issues with software or standard
operation procedures. Identify solutions and make suggestions for
technical modifications to prevent future problems. Develop new
applications to address issues when needed
Suggested Salary Range
$70,000 to $76,000.
