The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University invites applications for a full time 9-month Senior Educator/Instructor position in Business Analytics (BA). The teaching load will be 4 courses in fall semester and 4 courses in spring semester, all of which are 3-credits. The start date is August 4th, 2024. Potential candidates will mainly teach graduate classes for the Master of Science in Business Analytics program. Candidates will primarily teach face to face but should be willing to teach using other instructional modalities (online, blended) and engage with the local businesses and the larger community to provide applied learning opportunities for the students. Candidates are expected to engage in different service activities at the department, college, university, profession, and local community.

The Barton School of Business works closely with the business community, which provides applied learning opportunities for faculty and keeps our curriculum relevant. The business school has a new 60M state of the art building, Woolsey Hall, which opened in Fall 2022. The candidate will be a faculty member in the department of Finance, Real Estate, and Decision Sciences (FREDS). For more information on the department, please check our website

Wichita State University recently launched “Innovation Campus”. This brought several major global companies (e.g., Airbus, NetApp, Spirit, Deloitte Smart Factory) to campus and they made WSU their home. These companies are within easy reach for both faculty and students for research and applied learning opportunities. Wichita, KS is known as “The Air Capital of the World” given the substantial number of aircraft manufacturing companies that call Wichita home. Moreover, Wichita has an undeniable entrepreneurial spirit; many companies have started in Wichita (e.g., Pizza Hut) and the development of new business here continues to grow.

Qualified candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Business Analytics or a closely related area, have at least 2 years of industry experience, and have prior teaching or training experience at a university level. Preference will be given to candidates with graduate degrees from an AACSB accredited institution that have teaching interests in analytics. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills.
