Responsibilities:
SWC is looking to hire a part-time Clinical Instructor for Surgical Technology Program to teach Fall 2022. Assume a clinical teaching assignment in the Surgical Technology Program including supervision of clinical laboratory and other related classes, as necessary.

Knowledge and Abilities:


Education and Experience:


Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only)
Associate degree in any field and a minimum of six years of full-time experience as a surgical technologist.ORBachelor’s degree in any field and a minimum of two years of full-time experience as a surgical technologist. ORthe equivalent

Desirable Qualifications:
An appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a rich and diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds, and those with disabilities. Experience working in a community with a similar diversity pattern as is found in the service area for Southwestern College.

Salary
PART-TIME/OVERLOAD SERVICE: $72.93 to $80.00 per lecture hour AND $60.55 to $66.40 per lab hour. SALARY SCHEDULE FOR ACADEMIC PART TIME EQUITY: $79.90 to $87.63 per lecture hour AND $66.32 to $72.73 per lab hour. Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree conferred.
