The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University is seeking a faculty colleague at the Assistant and/or Associate levels supporting both the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Programs. This position would support both the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Programs within the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences. The successful applicant will be appointed to a full-time nine-month position to begin August 2024.
Required qualifications for this position include having an earned doctorate in Early Childhood/Elementary (PK-6) Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field with 18 hours of graduate coursework in mathematics or science education. ABD will be considered if defense is before August 2024 and a minimum of three years successful experience teaching students in pre-kindergarten through grade 6 in public schools or in federal programs.
Qualifications for candidate should show excellent teaching evaluations along with a record of consistent scholarly productivity, experience with program planning and accreditation responsibilities.
Previous experience teaching science and/or mathematics methods courses at the undergraduate level and success with funded grants and projects is also preferred.
