Syracuse University’s program in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation (IDD&E) seeks an energetic and experienced graduate educator to fill a full-time, non-tenure-track, Teaching Professor position in a well-established graduate program. We seek an individual with strong teaching expertise and experience in areas of instructional design, development and evaluation to serve our graduate programs in IDD&E. IDD&E offers professional certificates, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. IDD&E has a distinguished history of domestic and international research, development, and education and enjoys a diverse student body who seek a future in various educational, business, industry, athletics, health care, military, and government contexts. IDD&E enjoys strong support from alumni and is highly respected within the University, as well as within the professional community.

Responsibilities: This new faculty member will be on site teaching established graduate courses in instructional design, development and evaluation, both in face-to-face and online settings in our Master’s and certificate programs, thus must be well prepared in these areas. The new faculty member will have a unique opportunity to participate in the integration of instructional systems and technology across a collaborative and technologically sophisticated campus and may also have opportunities to develop and teach new courses at the undergraduate level. It is expected that this faculty member will teach IDD&E courses, support enhancement of courses, provide course advising to students, and provide service to IDD&E programs, the School, the University and professional communities.

Start date: August 19, 2024.
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have an earned Doctorate in instructional design, instructional technology, learning sciences, or a highly related field; extensive practical experiences in applied field-based design, development, and evaluation; experience teaching courses in both face-to-face and online settings and advising graduate students; a professional network of domestic and international colleagues; and course development experiences. Willingness to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary setting is essential.
