Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Department of World Languages and Cultures is seeking a candidate for an Adjunct Faculty position for the 2024 Spring semester to teach SPA 1311-01, SPA 1312-01, SPA 1312-02, SPA 2312-01. The candidate should be able to teach Spanish language and culture courses. In addition, the candidate must be willing to teach assigned classes, hold office hours, participate in the department’s cultural events, and adhere to department and university policies. The position can be renewed upon funding availability.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of World Languages and Cultures offers an undergraduate degree in Spanish and a minor in Chinese, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Swahili programs. Our innovative academic language programs prepare students to assume leading roles in society, industry, and the academy.

  • Master’s Degree or higher, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish, from a four-year accredited institution.
  • One or more years of experience teaching foreign languages and cultures courses to undergraduate students both face-to-face and online.
  • Native or Native-like Spanish and English language proficiency

Morning, afternoon and evenings. Varies depending on the departmental needs.
