Duties and Responsibilities

o Conduct market research to identify trends and demographic data.
o Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay messages to students.
o Monitor “The Yard” and serve as direct administrator for software.
o Assist in Designing and editing the overall layout and aesthetic for websites.
o Record events and small scale video productions.
o Planning and filming live events, short films and ad shoots.
o Ensuring all filming equipment is ready and in proper working order.
o Directing and assigning tasks to Camera Operators and Lighting Technicians.
o Providing creative direction when inserting captions, graphics, special effects and video texts especially for advertising products.
o Ability to monitor online activity across New Student Experiences and Student Engagement social media platforms and support departments within the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs division
o Identity opportunities to influence new and current students through audience engagement and encourage greater social media participation.
o Execute fulfillment of student participation event registration process
o Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programs/projects and related topics or issues.
o Provides guidance/training to new student organizations/clubs
o Coordinates monthly Organization/Club Meetings
o Coordinates Organization/Club Fairs and Organization summits each semester
o Assist and contribute to the coordination and logistics of all aspects of student organization events and programs (pre-planning, onsite execution, and post-activity wrap-up)
o Assists and instructs student groups in making program arrangements for space publicity, special requirements of performers, and other program needs.
o Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree


o Experience: Marketing, Videography, and Photography
o Experience and success with publicity and creative promotion of events
o Proficiency in video editing software
o Experience as a social media specialist, marketing or similar position
o Experience and knowledge working in Student Life/Student Engagement
o Familiarity with different cameras like digital cameras, professional-grade cameras and digital camcorders
o Knowledge of different motion picture techniques
o Basic knowledge of production modes like doing a single camera setup and adjusting camera’s white balance

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

o Good communication and interpersonal skills
o Attention to detail for precise analysis of data
o Excellent leadership and managerial skills
o Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize task
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
o Effective in a fast paced environment
o Excellent knowledge of various social media platforms.
o Understanding of social media KPIs, traffic metrics, and SE

Conditions of Employment

o Office environment, some physical lifting, bending, pulling, standing on step stools, and walking throughout the campus will be required.
o Evening and weekend hours are required for special events and extended hours
o Outstanding written, verbal, social media, and technological communication skills.
