Brief Summary of Job Duties

Assist with administration of CCLP degree programs. Reporting to the director of CCLP, the Student Services Specialist will participate in strategic academic planning and policy development for the program. In support of the scholar population, the Student Services Specialist will organize, plan, and direct activities in support of the program. The Student Services Specialist will also provide operational support, assist with development of program reporting and evaluations, and interpret University and program guidelines and policies to ensure program compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with the team to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Community College Leadership Program.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all potential students, current students, and alumni.
  • Counsel and advise students who inquire about the program admission and requirements.
  • Develop a plan for sharing program information utilizing social media and other non-traditional modes of communication,
  • Establish program informational sessions for community colleges, in-person and via zoom.
  • Enter all pertinent CCLP student data for program recordkeeping.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the CCLP student database.
  • Assist with the data gathering and reports on student enrollment, retention, and graduation.
  • Assist with the five-year and seven-year notification letters to students.
  • Maintain and update content for departmental website.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, programs, student services and delivery mechanisms – identify new and emerging opportunities.
  • Serve on the Admissions Committee for potential new admits in the EdD program.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to stay current in the field.
Requested Minimum Qualifications

Education:
· Master’s degree in higher education, or closely related field from an accredited college or University
Experience:
· More than three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education
· Strong promise or demonstrated capability to teach college level courses;
· Strong promise or demonstrated capability to advance research and practices in higher education
