The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's
primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for

The Director of Marketing and Fan Experience is responsible for the
development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans for
the Oregon Athletics Department. Enhance marketing, promotional,
fan experience, and sales efforts while fostering innovative and
collaborative efforts to engage the students, staff, alumni,
supporters, and prospective fans. This position will report
directly to the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Sales
& Fan Experience and oversee two Assistant Directors of
Marketing, the Assistant Director of Marketing - Community &
Student Engagement, and over 20 student interns. Responsible for
promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Oregon Athletics
Department, including adherence to all department policies and
procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University,
Pac-12 conference and the NCAA.
In addition to regular office hours, this position requires evening
and weekend work based on games and athletic events
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management,
Communications, Public Relations, or Sports Management
- Three years of experience within an intercollegiate athletics
department or professional sports organization
- One year of supervisory experience of full-time employees
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and other
- Administrative skills and the ability to motivate staff and
volunteers to achieve department goals.
- Ability to strategize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet goals
- Strong organizational skills; excellent verbal and written
communication skills, including proofreading, editing, and content
- High motivation with a capacity for hard work within the
context of an intensely goal-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage a set budget.
- Capacity to interact comfortably with those individuals and
constituency groups (student-athletes, alumni, coaches, parents,
etc.) crucial to the advancement of the University of Oregon
Department Of Athletics.
- Master's degree in marketing or related field.
- Four years of experience in athletic marketing and promotions
environment at the Division I level.
- Experience serving the needs of diverse populations.
